A house warmed from the floor.
A three-room hanok stay in Seochon, Seoul. The old houses here were built to be warmed from the floor — heat drawn beneath stone and clay until the whole room holds it. ONDO keeps that principle: paper doors, a wooden veranda, and three quiet rooms a few streets from the palace wall.

Ondol is Korea's traditional underfloor heating. Heat is drawn beneath the stone and clay floor so the whole room warms from below — the comfort the house is named for.
